A failed render almost always falls into one of three buckets: the input file was incompatible, the image was too large or too small for the model, or our pipeline hit a transient error. In every case, we do not deduct a render credit from your balance for a failed job — you'll see the credit returned within a few seconds.
The most common cause is an unsupported or corrupted file. Plotpane accepts JPEG, PNG, WebP and HEIC. Camera RAW files are not accepted directly — export a full-resolution JPEG first. Partial or corrupted downloads will also reject. The second most common cause is resolution: images smaller than 512px on the short edge, or larger than 8192px, get rejected to protect output quality.
Try this first
- Re-export the photo as JPEG at 2000–4000px on the long edge
- Make sure the file isn't inside a ZIP or locked folder
- Retry the render — transient failures usually clear within a minute
- If it still fails, click Report on the failed job and we'll investigate
