Real estate photography in Marbella, and the July haze problem

Plotpane does not send a photographer; it finishes the frames you already have. In Marbella a great many of those are taken by July, when the sky is white rather than blue, the sea horizon has dissolved into it, and a white-rendered villa has no modelling left in the façade at all. La Concha behind the house is a grey suggestion. Sky Swap and Auto Enhance do most of the work, about two minutes an image.

Photographing property in Marbella

The July sky is white, and so is the house

From late June to September the sky over the Costa del Sol is a pale wash rather than blue — humidity off the Alborán, and calima carrying Saharan dust whenever the wind comes round from the south-east. A white-rendered villa photographed in that light has no shadow in the render, no separation from the sky, and a sea horizon that has gone missing. Sky Swap replaces the sky and regrades the elevation to match; Auto Enhance puts contrast back into the render without tipping the walls blue.

The garden is the product, and the garden has been rationed

Marbella sells outdoor space: the lawn, the terrace, the pool, the view. Andalucía has been through repeated drought restrictions in recent years, and a lawn photographed in August is frequently brown even at the top of the market. Lawn & Pool Revive greens a stressed lawn and clears a pool that has gone cloudy. It is a cosmetic edit to your own photograph, and the buyer is going to stand on that lawn — keep it plausible, because a lawn that could never exist on that plot is a claim rather than a correction.

No MLS, and the sharing networks are commercial products

Spain has no MLS in the American sense. Listings go to Idealista and Fotocasa, to Kyero and the international portals for foreign buyers, and along the coast agencies share stock through private commercial databases rather than through a regulated board. Nobody in that chain publishes a rule about edited photography. What does apply is Spain's general law against misleading advertising, plus Andalusian consumer rules requiring an information document on each home offered for sale. The photograph simply has to match the house.

What you have to say, and to whom

Spain has no MLS and no board rule about edited listing photography, and there is no Andalusian regulation requiring an image to be labelled. The rules that apply are general ones: the prohibition on misleading advertising, and the consumer information a seller has to hand over. Marbella is also a market where the buyer flies in and stands in the garden, so an edit that cannot survive the viewing is worse than no edit at all. Plotpane will not conceal a crack, a neighbouring build or a defect, will not add a sea view, and will not move a wall. Every export carries disclosure metadata naming the operation, and a visible “Virtually Staged” label is one switch.

Portals used here: Idealista, Fotocasa, Kyero, Rightmove Overseas, private agency sharing networks along the coast. Disclosure rules by board.

Questions

Editing listing photos in Marbella

Can I use AI-edited photos on Idealista and Fotocasa?
Yes. Neither portal bans editing your own photographs and there is no Spanish board rule on it. The limit is the general prohibition on misleading advertising: the image has to be of the property on offer. Sky replacement, exposure correction and dusk conversion are ordinary practice on the coast. Virtually staged rooms should say so in the listing, and a visible label can be switched on per render.
What does a villa shoot cost in Marbella?
A professional villa shoot on the Costa del Sol typically runs €150 to €350, more where twilight or a drone operator is included. Plotpane does neither — it is not a shoot and it is not an aerial service. It replaces the editing pass on the frames you already have, at $0.62 to $1.23 an image by plan, one credit per image, three free renders and no card.
Why is there no gallery of Marbella examples on this page?
Because our sample library has no Costa del Sol property in it yet. The nearest Spanish samples are a Mallorca finca and a Madrid piso, and captioning either of those as Marbella would be exactly the dishonesty these market pages exist to avoid. The tools behave identically on your own photographs, and three free renders on one of your own villas is the only test worth running.
