How does Compass real estate work for photo uploads — is there a spec?+

Agents at Compass upload to the listing asset library inside the backend media tab. In practice the library accepts 4K JPEG at sRGB with preserved EXIF; Compass 1000 and Collections crops pull from that same asset. Plotpane exports at 3840x2560 (3:2) or 3840x2160 (16:9), which is the largest size the library accepts without downsampling, so the Compass 1000 tile, the Collections 16:9 hero, and the Coming Soon card all pull from one clean master.
