Why the photo workflow matters more at a cloud brokerage than at a traditional office
At a traditional brokerage the photo set usually passes through a local office marketing coordinator who catches the obvious problems — tilted verticals, blown exterior highlights, yellow interior white balance, over-processed HDR skies — before the listing goes live. Agents at eXp Realty don't have that net. There is no physical office. The review path runs through the agent, the agent's transaction coordinator on SkySlope, and whatever the agent pulls into the eXp Marketing Center (the Breakthrough Broker-powered branding and flyer platform) and the Listing Presentation & Active Listing Kits that eXp launched in the US in October 2023 and expanded to Canada in 2024. In July 2025, eXp's own SVP of marketing told Inman that agents were using photos that were hurting listings, publicly — the bar is being raised, not relaxed. A workflow that fits eXp listing expectations has to clear that bar on day one, because there is no office coordinator to catch it on day two. Plotpane is an independent AI tool.
